ARDF and the Millennium Development Goals

At the United Nations Millennium Summit in September 2000 the largest gathering of world leaders in history adopted the UN Millennium Declaration, committing their nations to a new global partnership to reduce extreme poverty. A set of eight goals were developed, all with a deadline of 2015 that have become known as the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

The Anglican Relief and Development Fund's mission statement reflects those goals. ARDF is committed is to see real life change come to the suffering and the poor in some of the most challenging parts of the Anglican Communion. In addition, ARDF is committed to provide effective and efficient relief and development assistance for objective high impact projects with measurable transformational results. ARDF supports the core recommendations of the Millennium Project through our development partnership with the Global South and commitment to helping those most in need both financially and spiritually.
